Kimberly Bowen
Founder & President

Ms. Bowen is a volunteer director and holds the president’s position of Welcome Home Veterans, Inc. Ms. Bowen is currently the owner/operator of assisted living homes in Owosso, MI. The businesses received the Circle of Excellence awards in 2013. She has been a registered practicing nurse for the past 28 years. In 2013, she was campaign manager to a team of 25 people who collectively raised $103,000 for the PFC Shane Cantu Scholarship Fund in memory of a local fallen hero. In her travels throughout various countries, she has gained a deep appreciation for those who pay the price to maintain our freedom. Realizing the serious need for a veteran’s home in Shiawassee County, Ms. Bowen is passionately committed to making Welcome Home Veterans a success. With a strong background in writing, public speaking and substantial community involvement, she brings a broad range of talent and experience to the organization.
Brooke Sabaj

As the co-owner of Welcome Home Assisted Living, Brooke is both passionate and committed to her profession. Brooke stands alongside her mother Kimberly Bowen in many aspects of Welcome Home Assisted Living and Welcome Home Veterans. Brooke sits on the board of Welcome Home Veterans as director/assistant treasurer. Brooke is a graduate of Lansing Community College with a degree in business along with a Dale Carnegie graduate with a certificate in Leadership. Brooke is also an active member of the Shiawassee Kiwanis Morning club.
Pastor Brian Keesler

Pastor Brian Keesler is the senior pastor of New Creation Church in Owosso, MI. Brian has been sharing the life changing message of grace and hope through Jesus Christ since 1994 and received ordination in 2003. He has earned a doctorate degree in Theology and Biblical Studies through Life Christian University. Pastor Brian is a member of and ordained through the Righteous Preachers Network, a ministerial organization of Mark Barclay Ministries.
Robert L. Hardy
Treasurer

Mr. Hardy was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated Finney High School and attended Macomb County Community College, McNeese State University and LSU. He is a graduate of Michigan Bankers Graduate School and Banking Institute University of Wisconsin at Madison. He enlisted in the US Army in 1967, served one tour in Vietnam in 1968 with MACV Team 27 at Qui Nhon. He ETS’d as a Spec 5 from Fort Polk, Louisiana. He then worked for Michigan National Bank as a lender and administrator for ten years followed by Key State Bank and Chemical Bank for the past 33 years. Mr. Hardy was appointed to the Michigan Selective Service Board in 1997 by President Bill Clinton and Governor John Engler, from which he retired after serving 20 years. He is active in the Shiawassee Owosso Kiwanis Club as Past President, Past Lt. Governor and current board member. He recently retired from banking after 43 years.

Brent Singer is a committed community leader and immediate past President of the Morning Shiawassee Kiwanis Club. Currently, he is the General Manager of Maurer Heating & Cooling.
In his personal time, Brent enjoys being outdoors, riding motorcycles, kayaking, and working on classic cars.
Brent’s passion for helping others brought him to the organization. He believes in the principle of treating others like he wants to be treated. He feels this principle is key to everything in life and a catalyst for great things to happen, which he applies to his life, work, and community engagement. He sees his involvement with WHV as an important commitment and opportunity to give back. He is willing to put in every effort needed toward WHV’s vision and goals.

Shellia Harrow

Shellia Harrow has been a dedicated member of WHV since 2019. As a deaconess at Grace Bible Chruch in Owosso, MI. she actively engages in community outreach, working tirelessly to support and uplift those in need.
Shellia also serves as the Campus Coordinator for Welcome Home Assisted Living, where she oversees programs and activities that enhance the lives of residents. Her commitment to service and community is truly inspiring.
